Terms of Use
These Terms of Use set out the conditions for using Shizuku, including free-text input features. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: 2026-03-27
1. Scope and Contract Structure
These terms apply to all relationships between users and Shizuku regarding the use of this service. Additional policies, guidelines, and in-product notices published by Shizuku form part of these terms.
2. Accounts and User Responsibilities
Users must provide accurate, current information and are responsible for all activity under their account. Users are responsible for securely managing credentials and for immediately notifying Shizuku if unauthorized use is suspected.
3. User Content and Free-Text Input
Users are solely responsible for text and other content they input or submit ("User Content") and represent they have lawful rights to submit it. Users must avoid inputting unnecessary sensitive data (for example, health, criminal, biometric, or other highly sensitive personal information) and must not input third-party personal information without lawful basis. Shizuku may store, reproduce, analyze, display, and process User Content only to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy and user settings.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not violate laws, infringe rights of others, interfere with service operations, or use the service for fraud, abuse, or security attacks. Unauthorized access attempts, spam, malware distribution, vulnerability probing, and unlawful or harmful content submission are prohibited.
5. Moderation, Restriction, and Deletion
If Shizuku reasonably determines that User Content or user behavior may violate these terms, laws, or safety requirements, Shizuku may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts without prior notice where reasonably necessary. Shizuku may preserve and disclose logs or content when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and system integrity.
6. AI Features and Service Limitations
Some features may rely on AI or external providers. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for specific purposes and must be evaluated by users before reliance. Users must not rely on the service as professional legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice unless explicitly provided by qualified professionals.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights in the service, including software, design, trademarks, and non-user content, belong to Shizuku or lawful rights holders. Except as permitted by law or explicit permission, users may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service.
8. Disclaimer and Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Shizuku does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Shizuku does not exclude liability for damages caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence. Where Shizuku is liable, liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages arising from Shizuku's breach, up to the greater of (a) the total amount paid by the user to Shizuku in the 12 months before the event, or (b) JPY 10,000, unless otherwise required by law.
9. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
Shizuku may modify these terms when reasonably necessary due to legal, security, or operational reasons, and will provide notice by posting updates in the service. Users who continue to use the service after revised terms become effective are deemed to have agreed to the revised terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over Shizuku's principal office at the first instance.
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
